Competences
  - Pursuant to Article 6 of the Law on the  elections of representatives, The Republic Electoral Commission, together with  the electoral boards, is a body which will conduct the elections for the  Members of Parliament of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
- Pursuant to Article 7 of the Law on election of  the President of the Republic, The Republic Electoral Commission is responsible  for conducting the elections for the President of the Republic.  Namely,   the previously mentioned Article lays out that the elections for the  President of the Republic shall be carried out by the bodies which conduct the  elections for Members of Parliament. 
- Pursuant to Article 60 of the Law on National  Councils of National Minorities, The Republic Electoral Commission is  responsible for conducting the direct elections for the members of the National  Councils of National Minorities. 
- Pursuant to Article 106 of the Law on National  Councils of National Minorities, The Republic Electoral Commission is  responsible for for appointment of the board members who will conduct elections  for the members of the National Councils of the National Minorities at  electoral assemblies. 
- Although not explicitly specified by the Law on  Referendum and People’s Initiative, The Republic Electoral Commission may also  be given the responsibility to conduct the Republic Referendum.   Namely, by virtue of the Article 13 of the  said law, it is laid out that the responsible bodies for conducting referendum  are the commission and the electoral boards, provided that the referendum  commission shall be formed by the body announcing the referendum, and the  commission shall then form the electoral boards. Thereby, by the Decision  calling a Republic Referendum to endorse the new Constitution of the Republic  of Serbia of September 30, 2006, the National Assembly prescribed that the  Republic Electoral Commission would be in charge of the administration of that  Referendum.
